Aloha! Long time no blog, eh! Well, I'll "kick off" the New Year a month late with a question to the BBC. Why the fuck did I pay for American Homo Erotic Throwball Football to be shown late night on the BBC?

Assumably this will've slipped under the radar of most moaning old cunts, screening at midnight of last night but the BBC picked up the rights to show the "game" (used in the loosest possible manner) at the expense of the licence payer. Is it just me or is that just a complete waste of our money?

Every fucking corner I turn at the moment it's "credit crunch" this and "recession" that, yet the BBC chooses to pay for the rights to show a high profile game that probably 0.001% of this country could give two shits about. Couldn't the money have been better spent coming up with more brilliant jokes about Andrew Sachs's grand daughter to lighten the mood of the country, rather than supporting a sport that encourages macho dickism so long as it's hidden behind sufficient padding??

I wouldn't mind but seriously.... American Football?? Of all the American sports, it has to be the second worst (the first being NASCAR obviously...). The game is quite obviously incorrectly name, it incredibly tedious to watch and any sport that a little guy starts a play by putting his hands on a bigger guys ass and shouts "hut-hut", I'm not going to encourage my son to watch or participate in.

It's about time the TV Licence became a subscription service to BBC products and no longer mandatory for the ownership of a broadcast receiving device. I'm pretty sure we are one of the only countries that allow ourselves to be bent over backwards to pay for a service that we may or may not want, just because you have access to it.

So BBC, what next? Are you going to waste more of the licence payers money securing the rights to the Australian Rules Football Timmy Cup Final? I mean you seem to have a habit of picking up retarded sports... why not go all out for the Worlds Worst Sport whilst you're at it...
