Thought Crime is ok still unless, however, you commit one against a D List Pop Band
It's ok people, Thought Crime is still not an actual crime thanks to CPS seeing eventual sense and realising that written words of fantasy, no
matter how extreme, are not grounds for criminal prosecution.
It seems a little hypocritical of the Daily Star to report the story to the IWF when their own trash wallows in pornography and badly written 'articles' on a daily basis, but choose to write a violently pornographic story about Girls Aloud, perhaps the most trite and generic of all the female Pop Groups of late, that's a step too far.
Perhaps the problem is the fear that Girls Aloud are that annoying, that this fantasy might become a reality and read as a guide book by some deranged nut job. I mean it's quite regular for me to search eBay for Pop Star body parts and their mutilation videos..
And this was indeed the line of prosecution under the Obscene Publications Act. To quote:
"The Act, which has not been updated since it was conceived, made it illegal to publish material that tends to "deprave and corrupt" those reading or viewing it."
I would argue that the Daily Star needs to be tried under said law for attempting to corrupt and deprave the general public, but I doubt anyone would be idiotic enough to attempt to charge them under said law, knowing it is a case of futility.
The whole thing reeks of a ploy for media spotlight, having read the so called 'band' statement.
"British pop group GIRLS ALOUD have vowed to continue with their U.K. tour despite the discovery of an internet fantasist who has written about torturing and brutally murdering the stars." - Just in case you forgot the talent show born corporate shills were still polluting the music realm with so called "art".
"The Love MAChine hitmakers - comprising of Cheryl
Cole, Nadine Coyle, Kimberley Walsh, Nicola Roberts and Sarah Harding - found themselves to be the focus of a sick online writer, who has penned the horror Girls (Scream) Aloud. The unnamed author - who stresses his fantasies are "strictly fictitious" - describes the tale
as "the very sexy deaths of all five members of the world's sexiest all-girl group" and even goes as far as to warn readers about the "explicit imaginary descriptions of... rape, torture and mutilation" included in the work."
1. Love Machine hitmakers. Whats the need for this, other than a reminder of who these whores are. Then to go on and name every single member of the group, just in case that stimulates one of the readers two braincells into remembering.
2. I'm pretty certain the writer gave his pen name and email address on the site. It's also likely that this was true given the fact the police didn't require a warrant for a non-British server, to gather the logs and trace the pen name to Darryn Walker.
"The news of the horrific tale, posted on the
restricted website Kristen Archives, has reached the attention of the International Criminal Police Organization (Interpol), and U.K. organisation the Internet Watch Foundation (IWF) have already tracked the site back to a host in the U.S."
Holy shit... the IWF know how to do a WHOIS and have already done this to determine the location of the web server. That's fucking impressive!
"But the Girls Aloud beauties are refusing to let the stalker's actions get to them."
How is this guy a stalker? Surely he would have had to do some, you know, 'stalking' to be classed as a stalker? Thankfully the article didn't use his name, at least they can't get sued right back for liable.
"A spokesman for the band tells British newspaper the Daily Star, "We won't give this person the satisfaction that the girls care. "They have security with them all the time, they are safe enough."
Yes, I'm sure it's a real cause for concern; the simultaneous kidnapping of five celebritards for the intended purpose of rape, mutilation and then selling of the body parts on eBay. But just in case you thought the story was a roadmap for murder, remember that they have security with them at all times. Cunts.
