There's another one going on my list of things I hate about Dave.
It's not as if there isn't some funny stuff on there from time to time, but the amount of other crap just drones all the good stuff out. 

Bare with me, this is going to be a post containing lots of things.

Rambling bit No1.

My A-Level results were better than I thought they'd be, but not as good as my sixth form wanted them to be. So, I'm getting a Job. Maybe at Game.

I could go into why I don't want to redo sixth form or why I don't want to do a BTEC.

But it would just bore the hell out of everyone and this isn't the place to do that.

Suffice to say I'm fucking annoyed.

Coldplay are probably the most Marmite like band ever , as in, you either love them or you hate them. It's a shame that most people seem to be in the later group.

I'm going to do a quick survey here:
How many of you have ... lets say ... have Internet Explorer installed on your machines, just put your hands up.
Okay, about 85-90%. Keep your hands up if you use it regulaly.
Wow, about, yeah, 90% of you guys put your hands down.

So, I've downloaded the beta release of the new Ubuntu OS 8.04 Hardy Heron. I'll write some propaganda for it on the 25th ( The actual full release date. )
With it being in beta you would expect some updates, and there are some, but I know when my bandwidth is going to be used by them, unlike Windows Update, and that it won't be used to update internet explorer, also unlike Windows Update.

My internet's back up, no thanks to stupid AOL.

I was getting a new laptop anyway, and not having broadband wasn't going to stop me.

Got the laptop, thought may as well have a go, you never know it might work.

And it does, still wired for the moment - haven't got round to setting it up wirelessly yet - but after weeks of dial-up its still good.

P.S. What happened here, no-one posted for a week?

What do you think they're advice was?

This is the report that I sent to my ISP.
I've worded it so they don't think i'm an incompetant idiot that's just got a loose ethernet connection or something.
